英語讀音規則表（元音字母的讀音）

1、元音字母Aa：

在f、ss、th前面，讀[a:]如：glass，fast，last，ask，father，staff，

在[w]音之後，讀作[ɔ] 如：want，wash，what，quality

2、元音字母Oo ：

在l、m、n、th和v前面，讀[ʌ]；詞尾是st，ld時讀 [əu] ；如：most， post，cold，hold

3、元音字母Uu：在j，l，r之後讀[u：]，如：true，rule，june，blue

4、元音字母Aa、Ee、Ii、Oo、Uu以及元音字母組合ar、er、ir、or和ur在非重讀音節中，讀[ə]，元音字母Ii在非重讀音節中，讀[i]。
