地虎，昆蟲名，屬夜蛾科。世界約2萬種，中國約1600種。成蟲口器發達，多食性作物害蟲。種類很多，農業作物造成危害的有10餘種。其中小地老虎、黃地老虎、大地老虎、 白邊地老虎和警紋地老虎等尤為重要，均以幼蟲為害。寄主和危害對象有棉、玉米、高粱、粟、麥類、薯類、豆類、麻類、苜蓿、煙草、甜菜、油菜、瓜類以及多種蔬菜等，藥用植物、牧草和林木苗圃的實生幼苗也常受害，多種雜草常為其重要寄主。
