不允返還彩禮的情形有下列幾種：
1、已經登記結婚并同居生活的。
2、男女雙方未辦理結婚登記手續而同居生活時間較長的，一般應當以兩年以上。
3、男女雙方未辦理結婚登記手續而同居生活期間生育子女的。
4、男女雙方未辦理結婚登記手續而同居生活，所接受的彩禮确已用于共同生活的。
5、在婚約存續期間，婚約當事人死亡的。
【法律依據】
《婚姻法》第3條，禁止包辦、買賣婚姻和其他幹涉婚姻自由的行為。
禁止借婚姻索取财物。禁止重婚。
禁止有配偶者與他人同居。禁止家庭暴力。禁止家庭成員間的虐待和遺棄。
