1、上車系安全帶，将鑰匙轉到第二格，至電源檔，讓汽車電腦系統開始自檢，至少6s以上。
2、踩下腳刹，把檔位從P檔拉到N檔（如果倒車則直接從P檔點火，從P檔換到其它檔位必須踩住刹車）。
3、松開腳刹，将點火鑰匙轉到點火檔啟動發動機（根據不同的車型及環境溫度确定熱車時間，但在低溫狀況下要避免急加油和急刹車）。
4、踩下腳刹，松開手刹，将檔位從N擋拉到D檔(如果在斜坡起步，為防止後溜，可先将檔位從N擋拉到D檔，輕踏油門，慢慢松開手刹，即可平穩起步)。
5、緩慢放開腳刹，起步。
6、然後再根據路況，平穩踩踏油門加油，安全上路。
